My current works have been created over a number of years, the oldest from study periods in the 1960’s. I have always drawn, therefore, a living line is important to me. The pen has since been turned into a metal tool, thereby allowing me to draw in made in clay – in essence a burnt line.
The best subjects come from living and doing things. Observation of the subjects creates a series of images, during which the seed of a new work is already sown. However, Man is almost always the starting point for me. That is an endless subject.
