EVERY CLOUD
Every Cloud gets its name from my collection of silver jewellery of the same name, which is presented here with pieces from another collection Physalis. Every Cloud collection is my final exam work for artisan goldsmith studies that I completed in Axxell, Espoo earlier this year. It reflects the merciful and uplifting morals I have adopted throughout my life: there is always something good in everything – even if it doesn’t feel like it. Every cloud does indeed have a silver lining, in these pieces there’s only that left, the lining.
My jewellery represent my design principles and passion for constructional problem solving, three dimensional thinking, understanding materials – and finding an aesthetic balance. They hopefully demonstrate my joy of hand craft and a desire to turn things inside out, to see how they look from a different perspective: the inspiration for my jewellery arises often from studying details and phenomena detached from their environment.
