In ceramics, the breadth and richness of the material and the technical challenges of the process form an equation whose problems and challenge still fascinate and keep me on the intricate path of the eternal student.
The exhibition works presented were for the most part made last winter. It was possibly the distressing global challenge that started at that time which made me seek a getaway to the nostalgic world of childhood (Circus Princess, Harlequin). Many Manege knights also gallop from that world.
Often stories or narratives serve as a frame of reference for my work. I hope that my works will give the viewer, on an emotional level, an experience that will open the doors to their own illusions and imagination.
